So my mom found this cool under sofa side table. You know the kind that is c-shaped and the bottom slides under a sofa or chair so the table overlaps the sofa cushions.
It is a perfect compact size for small spaces and originally didn't have anything on the top but the bare metal. I enjoy doing mosaics. So I thought this would be a perfect small project to customize with a mosaic. I dry fit everything before I began, Then I started placing the larger tiles and securing them down with adhesive. This gave the table two perfectly flat places to put cups or other items you don't want to spill. After that I started filling in the sides and middle with the colored stones. After everything was in place and secure I decided I didn't want to grout everything. So I chose to use resin in place of the grout. I think it gave it a cleaner look. Everything, luckily, came out as planned. The colors are analagous and worked together beautifully. This is the perfect side table because it is portable and can be used on the porch outside or as a couch table for inside.
I really liked this project because it was small and it came out beautifully with the simple design and calming colors.
